Trillion Sapphire Engagement Ring

This unplated white gold ring features a color change sapphire in a fancy trillion cut. The stone has a flat bottom allowing the ring to stay close to the finger despite its larger size. The design reflects the style of the fiancee, who likes unfussy bold shapes, so we chose to bezel-set the sapphire, and extend the bezel walls down to the finger, ensuring comfort when worn. This also allowed the band to be a uniform shape adding to the satisfying simplicity, while securely holding the setting.
 
It was made with the intention of being a placeholder so the client's partner could design her final engagement ring, without forgoing the excitement of being proposed to.
