Rose Necklace with Alexandrite
This 18k yellow gold pendant was created as a gift for a new mother who's daughter is called Rose. It was inspired by the Scottish architect, Charles Rennie MacIntosh, who is known for the use of stylised roses in his work.
The centre of the rose holds a faceted alexandrite, which is the birthstone of the June baby. Consideration was given to the fact that the baby would likely grab the pendant, and so its domed back has a tactility to it. The alexandrite is also set deeper into the centre, further ensuring its security within the pendant.
It is worn on an 18" gold hayseed chain.
