Tattoo Ring

The client was looking to create a ring for her sister's birthday that incorporated shared tatoos they had of dandelions and butterflies.
 
The model was CNC milled from wax to get the tiny details of the wings and the seeds flying away in the wind. The silver was heat-baked to achieve a white tone in the dandelions, while the butterflies were oxidised to make them darker. Then, the surfaces were polished back to help the design details stand out in the patterns.
